Part III: The New Criticism or The Left March | <<<

This video documents a series of happenings staged by the participants
of The Radek group in the streets of Moscow. In it we see the artists
joining pedestrians waiting for a green light at a crossroads. When the
light turns green and the crowd surges forward, the artists unfurl banners
over their heads emblazoned with absurd, quasi-anarchistic slogans transforming
average Muscovites into the unwitting participants of a political demonstration.
Music by Pink Floyd, from Michelangelo Antonioni's "Zabriskie Point",
recalls the late-60s when it seemed a real possibility that ordinary people
might join forces with left wing radicals.
