"Some people create a product while others consume it. If someone declares himself or herself an artist, they have the right to produce their art and can leave the consumption to others. Since anyone can be an artist, no one can appropriate the functions of authorship or deprive others of their right to express their creativity freely. Hence, on the first of March 2001, FUGK announced its self-annihilation. From this moment, on the 1st of March, we celebrate the Day of the Anonymous Artist. Everyone who subscribes to FUGK's ideas exhibit their artworks anonymously and free of charge." This video presents the viewer with the 6 rules of "anonymous and free of charge art" and can be considered as the groups manifesto. The work is made entirely of animated illustrations from self-defense manuals for the general public.
